These photographs document an outdoor model railroad in my backyard that I’ve been involved with for over 25 years. I think of it as an exercise in kinetic movement, 3-D problem-solving and story telling. I find a tremendous satisfaction in modeling miniatures in a natural landscape. The color photographs were made by combining the foreground models with real mountains as background elements.
